My professional background
Before becoming a communication coach, I spent many years working in construction, property and project management in the UK as a Chartered Building Surveyor.
I worked with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants and legal professionals. My work involved analysing complex problems, explaining technical issues clearly, managing projects, negotiating solutions and making decisions where there was often significant cost, risk and responsibility involved.
That experience is extremely useful in my work today. I understand the pressures faced by technical and specialist professionals because I've worked in that environment myself.

More about me
Although I'm British, Finland is home. I've lived here for many years and greatly enjoy being here. I'm married to a Finn and have raised three children in this beautiful country. I'm familiar with Finnish culture and life in Finland, and I speak some Finnish too.
Outside work, I enjoy English football, Finnish jazz and Karelian pies.
